Time to announce the lucky winner of of this gorgeous bag of granola:
The winning comment #6 is from Jey! She blogs at Jey of Cooking, so check her out, and congratulations Jey! I'll send you an email and ship this weekend.
Finally, I get to share a big piece of news that I've been holding on to for a little while now. I apologize if you're a friend and I haven't managed to tell you in person, but it's just a difficult thing to work into a normal conversation. In fact, I think I'll just let Razi tell you all.
That's right folks, I'm pregnant!
I'm through the first trimester, feeling really good now, and due in very early October. The first few weeks were really tough on me as a food blogger because most smells totally grossed me out (especially SOUP! Sorry Cait!) and I only wanted to eat simple piquant foods. The lemon sorbet and salt and vinegar chips got me through that tough time, and I'm finally able to stomach almost everything again.
We're so excited to be entering this new phase, and I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with you here. Telling our family and friends has been one of the most fun experiences of my life so far, and has reminded me how lucky we are to have such kind and caring people in our lives. And they've said the cutest things. Some of my favorites:
"WHAT? I thought you were going to focus on your business!" (I can do both, right Mags?!)
"You're going to be one of those sexy pregnant chicks, aren't you?"
"I don't think I've ever been happier for a couple!"
"I hope you have a girl. I mean, I hope you have a happy, healthy baby, but after that I hope it's girl."
"Well, that's going to be the cutest baby ever."
"I wondered if I was the only person secretly hoping you would have a kid soon."
"You are going to be such a great mom."
So, now you're in on the big secret, bloggy friends. I've been overwhelmed by your support in sharing my Rosie's Best trials and victories, and I look forward to sharing the best parts of becoming a new parent here with you. Have an excellent weekend all!
